Crisalide

The process

Crisalide's production process

Behind every flawless finish there's a method. Crisalide's production process combines digital precision, made-to-measure tooling and quality control at every stage: from listening to the client to zero-defect delivery.

We manage the entire chain in-house — design, prototyping, production and inspection — to guarantee fast turnaround, full confidentiality and consistent colour rendering across the whole run.

The method,
step by step

Four stages, a single chain managed entirely in-house: digital precision, made-to-measure tooling and constant control, all the way to delivery.

Listening, feasibility & prototyping

Every project starts with listening. We study needs and goals together with the client, assess technical feasibility and turn ideas into real prototypes. From the very start, colour management is central: with spectrophotometric measurement and analysis we formulate and check the required RAL codes, for faithful, consistent colour across the whole production run.

CAD/CAM design & processing

Precision starts from digital. We receive the client's vector files and optimise them with our CAD/CAM systems, turning the design into mathematical instructions for the machines. This is where we design and produce in-house the printing plates (clichés) and the custom jigs, guaranteeing a perfect match between digital project and final product.

Custom-made jigs and positioners

We use additive manufacturing to set up the lines. With 3D printing we produce in-house, in record time, the positioners and anchoring systems that hold every piece being worked. We create custom jigs for each order, cutting set-up times and error margins and ensuring absolute stability and millimetric precision in digital and pad printing.

Total, integrated quality control

Quality isn't a final check, but a widespread process. Every department applies strict self-inspection protocols throughout all stages of the work and, at the end of the cycle, 100% of the batches are reviewed. At the slightest non-conformity the item goes back into the cycle to be corrected: this is how we guarantee zero-defect deliveries.

Total, integrated quality control

Managing every step in-house isn't just an organisational choice: it's what lets us respond quickly, protect our clients' ideas and guarantee consistent quality from the first to the last piece.
